Welcome to Kindergarten.  I’m so happy to have your child in our class this year!  I’ve been teaching for more than 16 years, and I love my job!  I graduated from University of South Florida with a degree in English Education and Elementary Education.  This is my 4th year at Timber Drive, and I consider it my home away from home.  I’m honored to be a part of such a dedicated and well-educated staff.  Although I’ve taught many other grades, including high school (Yikes!), Kindergarten is my favorite.  I love helping our smallest Timberwolves learn to love school and learning.  Watching them grow in this very short year is an incredible experience!  I hope you will enjoy it, too.  I’m originally from South Carolina, but grew up in Florida.  My husband of 28 years was transferred to Raleigh 12 years ago.  I love North Carolina and feel as if it’s always been my home.  We have one daughter, Allison.  She is 22 and a graduate of Appalachian State.  I am also the proud mom of Lilly, our Yorkie-Poo.  I look forward to working with you to make this a successful year!
